Successful Tech Investor Joins Intellis
The rapidly growing Danish provider of e-procurement solutions is strengthening its ownership group with the addition of investor and software developer Lars Sneftrup Pedersen, while simultaneously accelerating the development of its core product and customer experience.
Copenhagen, 23 September 2024
Aiming to create the market’s most satisfied customers, Danish software company Intellis has welcomed a strong new profile to help optimize the development of the company’s core product. The newest member of the ownership group is investor and CEO Lars Sneftrup Pedersen, founder of the IT security solutions company Admin By Request, who brings many years of experience in software product development.
“Intellis has grown significantly in a relatively short time and has become a prominent player in the e-procurement market. Our top priority now is to continue this growth without compromising the quality of our products and services. We simply want our customers to be the happiest in the market, and with that goal in mind, it is essential that we have been able to attract a profile like Lars Sneftrup Pedersen,” says Stig Larsen, COO and Co-Founder of Intellis.
“Intellis is a dynamic and progressive company with a strong product, great energy, and exciting visions. I see significant future potential and hope to contribute to realizing it by sharing my knowledge and experience. All this will happen alongside my ongoing primary work with Admin By Request,” says Lars Sneftrup Pedersen, CEO of Admin By Request.
The expansion of the ownership group comes just six months after Intellis welcomed another high-profile figure into its ownership and board: Formula 1 driver and investor Kevin Magnussen. While Kevin Magnussen has helped raise the company’s profile and establish new customer relationships, the focus now shifts to optimizing the company’s core product and improving the overall customer experience.
“Lars Sneftrup Pedersen has demonstrated with his own company how to succeed with self-developed software systems. This valuable experience can help us define a clear strategy for developing and updating our software, ensuring it always meets market needs and, ideally, stays a step ahead,” adds Søren Iversen, Partner and Co-Founder at Intellis.
Stig Larsen and Søren Iversen highlight several specific areas where Intellis must evolve
and strengthen to maintain growth while remaining the most attractive player in
the e-procurement market:
“It’s primarily about innovation, quality assurance, and risk management. We must continue to identify and seize ideas that lead to unique features that differentiate our solutions from our competitors’. At the same time, through testing and quality control, we need to ensure stable software and respond to feedback from users to improve the product. Finally, we must become even better at identifying potential risks and developing strategies to handle them,” says Stig Larsen.
“Intellis is heading towards a future where we will welcome many more colleagues. Our growth requires increased capacity, and in the near future, we will be hiring more staff in the development, support, and project departments,” concludes Søren Iversen.

Vejen Municipality achieves full digital ordering and invoicing flow with the Tellis procurement solution
Vejen Municipality has, as the first in Denmark, signed a contract with Intellis for the e-commerce solution Tellis. The solution also includes contract and catalog management, as well as full integration with the municipality’s current ØS Prisme 2009, and will be integrated with the upcoming Prisme 365, which they are transitioning to by the end of 2023.
This means a fully digital flow when our many users daily utilize the solution for purchasing, coding, goods receipt, and payment. Intellis on an inspiration trip to Saudi Arabia with Kevin Magnussen
At Intellis, we are continuously working on the development and optimization of our solutions, as new opportunities constantly arise with technology and intelligent software. We seek inspiration from a variety of sources to create innovative and groundbreaking solutions. We find inspiration where tech solutions play a crucial role, and this is certainly the case in the world of motorsport.
That’s why our COO, Stig Larsen, was on the sidelines when Kevin Magnussen raced in Formula 1 in Saudi Arabia from March 16-19.
“It was incredible to be on the sidelines, both due to my personal interest and, more importantly, because I gained insight into how team spirit, shared goals, and the drive to push the project forward are truly the keys to success. This is something we embrace at Intellis, both internally within the company and, importantly, in our relationships with our customers, as they are a crucial part of our success,” says Stig Larsen, COO of Intellis.
The trip provided inspiration and professional insights on how we can further develop our solutions and continue to work as a team within the company.
Stig continues: “To create groundbreaking solutions that think beyond the norm and drive development, you also need to find inspiration in some alternative places. That’s why Formula 1 and the way they use intelligent software is so interesting. It’s a significant part of the race, the cars, and the way to develop the concept towards a more sustainable sport.”
Stig returned to Denmark with a suitcase full of inspiration, including these key takeaways:
- Focus on being solution-oriented when things don’t go as planned.
- Work diligently to find the right solution.
- Be aware that external factors can play a crucial role, both positively and negatively.
- Always maintain a positive attitude towards employees and guests.

When differences meet, something new and exciting emerges.
Intellis met the artist Maria Sloth and the mayor of Randers on April 24th when we visited to view the beautiful painting of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals. We bid on and won this painting at the Denmark Collection event on February 4th.
The meeting with Maria and the other Outsider artists at the GAIA Museum was both inspiring and affirming, with discussions primarily focusing on social sustainability.
At the Denmark Collection event, Intellis won several activities, including a painting of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals by Maria Sloth Sørensen. Maria, who has Down Syndrome, is described as a reflective, passionate, creative, intense, lively, and proud artist.
Maria’s powerful and expressive art is an inspiration to do things differently and follow one’s instincts. This mirrors how Intellis operates as a company. We are driven by ambition and passion for intelligent software – we are truly passionate about it. Additionally, we often come up with creative – and sometimes unconventional – ideas because we are a growing company striving to develop and improve every day.
Therefore, we wanted to support Maria’s art and GAIA Academy’s mission to make art accessible to everyone, regardless of differences.
At Intellis, we are mindful of diversity within our team composition.
“We strive to create a company that focuses on being inclusive and diverse because we believe that’s where the exciting, developing, and enjoyable things happen.”
Søren Iversen, CEO Intellis
Intellis is a company that thrives on helping, especially public institutions such as municipalities, with their daily operations. Therefore, it is also important for us to understand the challenges they face. We also draw inspiration and motivation from other sources, as this helps us develop new and crucial solutions that can assist in working more effectively and digitally.

- GAIA Museum Outsider Art blev founded in Randers in 2022.
- It is a unique museum with a focus on outsider art, also known as Art Brut.
- Outsider art is created by individuals with physical, psychological, and/or social disabilities. As British art professor Roger Cardinal describes it: “Outsider art is a product of an authentic creative instinct. It is free from conscious artistic skill and has nothing to do with academic standards, but everything to do with passion and whimsical ideas.”
- Adjacent to the museum is GAIA Academy, which serves as a studio and art school aimed at supporting the artists’ work and development.
Intellis connects 5 municipalities in Funen with a future-proof IT solution
Intellis is proud to welcome Fællesindkøb Fyn (FIF) as part of the Intellis family.
FIF has chosen Tellis’ e-Procurement as the right solution to streamline and develop their business area, thereby handling centralized tasks across all municipalities simultaneously. The Tellis solution provides FIF with the necessary tools for their municipalities’ own e-Procurement system.
FIF is a strategic collaboration among the municipalities of Nordfyn, Faaborg-Midtfyn, Nyborg, Kerteminde, and Langeland. FIF has strategic ambitions and goals for the future development of their workflows, particularly concerning procurement, which the Tellis solution supports.
Sune Nancke, Acting Head of Procurement and Tendering, Fællesindkøb Fyn
“At FIF, we aim to elevate our contract management to the next level and, based on the presented functionalities, believe that Intellis best supports our strategic ambitions and goals for future development.”
Intellis provides an overlay solution for FIF that paves the way for advancing development to the next level. Both FIF and Intellis are excited about the collaboration. Sune Nancke continues:
“We expect that the solution will provide more automated workflows, thereby freeing up time for the development and realization of the community’s goals for professional procurement as part of the core business.”
The solution can benefit the individual municipalities by enabling a more efficient and up-to-date implementation of new contracts, leading to a higher degree of value realization across the community’s municipalities and improved opportunities for segment-based contract follow-up.
FIF will go live with the Tellis solution in 2023. Intellis looks forward to a successful collaboration with FIF on the ongoing development of the Tellis solution.
